I'm an experienced Melbourne headshot photographer. I started photography over 20 years ago shooting with film as well as developing my own film and prints in a darkroom. I took a break until I embraced digital photography. I became more interested in portraiture, especially aesthetics and capturing great moments. I believe that there has to be a real and natural connection between a person and the camera. I like to make people look their best by finding their most flattering angles and expressions, while at the same time paying attention to detail. Also, I know what it's like to be in front of a camera, as I myself have had to be in front of a camera many times, so I have a very relaxed approach to my shoots. Clients often tell me that they feel very relaxed during a shoot and that I am easy to work with. Importantly, I "listen" to what the client's needs are!
I specialise in shooting actor's headshots as I am also an actor. I have had to get headshots for myself and have found that whilst there are many great portrait photographers out there, they unfortunately don't really know what Casting Professionals want in an actor's headshot. I have had the opportunity to pick the brains of Casting Directors about what they like to see in a headshot and the type of headshots they would bypass. I've also had several talent agents have liked my work.
I am familiar with the corporate world I can relate to having to work around busy schedules. This helps me understand your needs and arrange a shoot accordingly.
I have now expanded into corporate video and short film production, having shot numerous corporate videos and edited short films that have won numerous awards in Los Angeles.
