Actor's Headshots
What is an actor’s headshot/why are they important
A headshot is an integral part of an actor’s portfolio. It’s the first thing Casting Directors see, so a good professional headshot is a must. A professional headshot shows that you take acting seriously. When it comes to actor’s headshots IT HAS TO LOOK LIKE YOU! I can’t stress this enough, every Casting Director says this. Excessive editing such as skin smoothing and wrinkle removable is a definite no-no. You don’t want to give a Casting Director a reason to skip your headshot, as there is nothing they dislike more than calling in someone who doesn’t look like their photo. A good actor’s headshot should show the best version of you and allow your personality to shine through.
Where do I shoot
I can shoot in a variety of locations depending on what you want. A studio shoot means we don’t have to worry about the elements and it’s better suited to changing outfits. I can also shot outdoors if that is preferred, but obviously it’s subject to weather and is better suited to shoots with simple clothing changes. Some people have the impression that a professional photoshoot needs to be in a studio, this is false as a good photographer will give you professional looking photos regardless of the location. I am currently putting together a portable setup so I will be able to come to you.
